Swaha Aerial Yoga is Greece’s original Aerial Yoga school, founded by Tanya Popovich, the first certified Aerial Yoga teacher in Athens. Since bringing Aerial Yoga to Greece in 2010, Tanya has been leading internationally recognized Aerial Yoga Teacher Trainings for over 15 years, with programs held in Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete, Cyprus, Turkey, Finland, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, Bali, Thailand, India and more recently Sri Lanka. With over 2,000 graduates worldwide, many have gone on to lead their own teacher training programs, while others are now part of our international team, teaching Swaha Yoga trainings across the globe.
This transformative training offers a comprehensive and in-depth curriculum that prepares you to teach Aerial Yoga safely, confidently, and creatively—from beginner to advanced levels.
Throughout the training, you will dive into creative and intelligent sequencing for all levels, from beginner to advanced, while learning how to offer hands-on assists and apply essential safety protocols with clarity and confidence. You will explore breath and alignment in the air, advanced transitions, and dynamic flow techniques, alongside aerial-specific warm-ups, pose breakdown, and progressive sequencing. The training covers beginner, intermediate, and advanced postures, as well as flow creation, final relaxation in the hammock, and safe, supportive space-holding—both on the ground and above it. Special attention is given to variations for injuries, adaptations for physical challenges, and dealing with sensitive situations, while also ensuring you understand the full spectrum of equipment safety and rigging principles.
